Svitlana Katynska has been part of the Human Rights League since 2022. She studied law in Ukraine and started at the HRL as an interpreter, later moving to the position of lawyer.
At the Assistance Center in Bratislava, she provided client counseling. She focuses on topics such as financial contributions for displaced persons, housing rentals, travel with temporary protection status, and assistance in finding schools and kindergartens. Svitlana also answers client questions on social media, via email and telephone hotline. For UNHCR, she conducts interviews about the needs of Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and shows an interest in design.
